Ice Cream Cone Cupcakes

My boys love these ice cream cone cupcakes.  They are fun to make and fun to eat!  We are having some friends over and there will be lots of kids here so I thought this would make a great treat!  I have several variations of cakes and frostings on my post called “The Only Way To Make A Cake”. CUPCAKE INGREDIENTS:

1 box cake mix

2 cups milk

2 eggs

1 box instant pudding (you can use whatever flavor pudding you like)( I use vanilla most of the time)

24 ice cream cones

DIRECTIONS:

Mix all of the ingredients except the vanilla pudding and the ice cream cones.  Add the vanilla pudding at the end and mix just until it’s blended.  I put the batter in a ziploc bag and cut off the tip to make the cones easier to fill.  Fill the cones  2/3 full.  Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

 

FROSTING INGREDIENTS:

1/2 cup butter (1 stick) softened

1/2 cup Crisco

1 tsp. vanilla

4 cups powdered sugar

2-3 Tbsp. milk

DIRECTIONS:

Cream butter and Crisco.  Add vanilla.  Add powdered sugar, 1 cup at a time.  Add milk.  Frost.

We added some blue coloring and made our cupcakes look like summertime pool fun.  Decorate as you wish.  YUMMY!

    Oh, my gosh-I die! Little bears in swim rings and beach balls-adorable. I’m filing this idea away in my brain. (Hopefully, I’ll be able to retrieve it.)
